a space for hope.

our daughter gemma was diagnosed with rett syndrome on march 25, 2020. rett syndrome is a rare genetic condition that affects brain development and impacts nearly every aspect of life. while the symptoms of rett syndrome have been devastating for our family, we have quickly learned to celebrate the beauty of our rare girl and all the things she is capable of. we are grateful to have recieved a diagnosis of rett syndrome in a time when research is advancing rapidly. while we continue to find peace in whatever the future may hold for our family, we certainly have hope for a cure.

our goal

is to bring awareness to rett syndrome as we strive for a cure. gemma has given our family a gift to see life in a whole new way. we hope by sharing our experience, others will feel inspired to live a colorful life beyond a diagnosis.

“god puts rainbows in the clouds so that each of us -in the dreariest and most dreaded moments- can see a possibility of hope.”
